About Us

Violet Town was formed in 1985 by Tim Clark and Nate Bowe Timms in the basement of Tim’s Provo, Utah home. Tim and Nate had previously played together for many years in other bands but were in need of a bass player. One night at the Star Palace dance hall, they started up a conversation with two girls and learned that one of them (Kim Wiseman) was a bass player. They invited her over and she joined the band. That’s the simple story.
